Baptisms

Baptism for many is that awesome right of passage whereby persons who believe that Jesus the Christ died for their sins is able to publicly acknowledge an inward change by an outward display.  Although some believe baptism is necessary for salvation (entrance into God's heavenly presence), God speaks to us in Ephesians 2:8-9 by saying "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast."  So, God clarifies through this and other scripture the route to salvation.

Nevertheless, as a person commits to living and being more like Christ, baptism is a symbol of commitment that is encountered along the journey.  As we baptise believers we consider the fact that they understand the significance and purposes of baptism before proceeding.  As this is the case, we do not practice infant baptism or baptism of those too young to comprehend the purposes for baptism.  However, in such circumstances we do offer parents the Dedication Rite for their infants and young.  This is an awesome commital service, graced by prayer and anointing!

Baptism is a beautiful, symbolic gesture of a life change and new commitment, and we love to yoke this with prayer and anointing as we bless the participants, praying for the power of the Holy Spirit to come upon the believer.

Note:  The methods we offer for baptism are full immersion, sprinkling, and pouring as their is Biblical support for each.  Whenever you are ready to make this great commitment, let us assist!  May God Bless You!
